Summer Prim®
Formed as a result of the natural mutation of Primafiori (Fino), Spain’s main lemon variety, Summer Prim is currently Turkey’s latest harvested lemon. The quality of the Primafiori lemon, from which he received his genes, is indisputable and is shipped all over the world.
The fruit set of Summer Prim, which has a very high productivity, is the same every year. Thanks to its homogeneous fruit sizes, it can be cut as a single scissors at any time and can be kept until late season.
With its water rate exceeding 50% in May, it is more juicy than other types of lemons and means more tonnage for producers.
It can be harvested early with yellowing and it takes May to get its full color. It can be harvested until July. It is very suitable for storage if cut on time.
With its structure suitable for late harvest, it can capture a market gap in Turkey where there is no fresh lemon in its branch, and it can easily compete with Southern Hemisphere lemons coming from much longer routes abroad.
With the protection granted by the license and the limited production area, it will never be over-produced and will maintain its value.
